VETERANS - NHS Service

NHS Transition, Intervention and Liaison (TIL) Veterans Mental Health Service

NHS TIL Service is a new service for armed forces personnel approaching discharge as well as for veterans. The service will help to recognise some of the early signs associated with mental health difficulties and will provide access to a number of interventions, therapeutic treatments for complex problems and psychological trauma and prevent patient reaching crisis point. It will also help tackle some of the most common mental health and substance misuse problems such as alcoholism, anxiety and depression and join up services across the board, working with local authorities and charities so that the whole of a person’s needs and their families are looked after.

DIO - Sub Letting Of Service Family Accommodation

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation has initiated a long-term project to sub-let empty Service homes that are not currently required.

As well as the normal management margin required to ensure properties are available for families where we have sufficient homes, the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has retained some additional properties until the future needs of Defence are fully known.

This approach gives us flexibility to manage the requirements of the Front Line Commands, however, empty properties do no generate any income, and instead draw revenue away that could otherwise be invested elsewhere in the estate.
