CADET APPRENTICESHIP PATHWAY - New Initiative

Please see below information about a new initiative being piloted across the North East and Yorkshire with Sea, Army and Air Cadets.  Please pass it to your colleagues concerned with Business and Apprenticeships.

Cadet Apprenticeship Pathway Overview:
A program that seeks to align ‘work ready’ cadets aged 16-18 with employers, supportive of their continued progression as a cadet and at 18 years old as either an Adult Volunteer or Reservist, whilst satisfying an employers need for a reliable, respectful and trustworthy young employee.

Aims:
To attract and retain cadets.
To generate ‘organic’ Adult Volunteers to inspire the next group of young people
To grow Employer support through the Armed Forces Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme
To connect ‘talent’ to opportunity
